We can confirm Andy Briggs has joined Northern Premier League side Widnes on dual registration.
Andy has made 12 appearances off the bench this season and heads to Merseyside in a bid for more game time.
Manager, Dave McNabb said: “Andy has had a bit of a stop, start season so far for various reasons. He hasn’t managed to get the game time he wants or deserves.
“Now he is fully fit it makes sense for him to go an get some regular game time at Widnes.
“Andy remains an important player and part of the long term plans.”
Briggs added: “I would like to give a quick thanks to the fans for their unwavering support so far this season. Obviously, as a team it’s been a great start but from a personal point of view, this season I’ve not had as much game time as I would have hoped.
“The fans however have been unbelievable throughout. As a player, playing games is the most important thing, so hopefully I can take this opportunity to get so much needed game time and I hope to see you all soon.”
We’d like to wish Andy all the best for his time at Widnes and we’ll keep you updated on his progress.
