We are delighted to confirm our new pitch partnership with the University Campus of Football Business (UCFB).

The Manchester-based University will play a number of their Wednesday afternoon fixtures at Gigg Lane for the 2024/25 season.

UCFB hosted a small sided tournament at the stadium last month to begin the partnership.

Brendan Flood, Chairman and CEO, UCFB said: “I am delighted that UCFB’s elite football teams will have the opportunity to be based at Gigg Lane for the 2024/2025 Season.

“The move will provide our student footballers with a fantastic opportunity to play their home fixtures at a wonderful stadium steeped in football history, helping to create the environment for both our Women’s and Men’s teams to thrive.

“Furthermore, this builds on the emerging relationship between UCFB and Bury FC, which will benefit all parties and the wider community.”

Bury FC CEO, Neil Sears added: “We are delighted to announce this pitch partnership with UCFB.  Having attended the University myself, I know first hand the importance of gaining real world knowledge along with practical experience.

“By collaborating with UCFB, this will both allow Bury FC to optimize the pitch usage during times which are traditionally harder to fill whilst also supporting the next generation of students hoping to get started in the sports industry.

“We look forward to a continued partnership with UCFB which both benefits the club and also adds real value to industry.”
